Freelance Associates
Responsibilities:
To make casts for customers who place orders with the company. Casting can be done at our company's workshop in Orchard Road at pre-arranged time; at the customer's home if there is a sufficiently large order; and at promotional venues such as clubs and shopping malls should we decide to organize such events.
To assist other Casters in producing complicated casts as required. This might include helping to make the mold; actually making the casts; cleaning up the cast after production; etc.
To answer queries and requests from customers, as required. This is only necessary during casting sessions.
To help conduct casting workshops (after being suitably qualified by our company) to introduce the product to the public, as well as to teach trainee casters to become proficient. Senior Associates may also be trained to be Master Casters, thereby allowing them to produce large complicated casts involving a number of people, or casts of various body parts. We will be developing a certification programme to establish life casting standards in Singapore.

Language : English
Applicants should have an interest in arts and craft. Prior experience in arts and crafts either as a hobby or business would be useful (but not necessary). Having an artistic flair is also useful, but on it's own it is not necessary nor sufficient. It is the willingness to learn and cultivate a deep interest in life casting that we are looking for.
Applicants should be good with their hands, and are generally careful and detail oriented. They should be willing to put in the necessary effort to create a high-class customized product, even if it takes a little more time and effort.
Someone with good interpersonal skills and able to establish rapport with customers and carry out a decent conversation will be an advantage. In particular, the applicant should preferably be good at interacting with people of all ages. There will be occasions when the Associate needs to work with babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers, teenagers, adults, corporate executives, retirees, etc. There may also be requests to make casts for pets (but don't worry if you are not comfortable with certain animals, or have specific allergies. We can assign our Associates as necessary for the right assignments).
High motivation is necessary for success. The applicant should be willing to work according to the schedule of the customer's requirements, and be focused on creating a great product while at the same time giving good service. Monetary motivation is important but should not overwhelm the desire to be part of an undertaking that helps make life more meaningful for others.
Applicants with specific language skills and able to help us reach out to niche market segments will be an advantage. For example, having the network with certain expat groups (Japanese, Koreans, Brits, etc) will be good. Being able to service foreign speaking tourists will also be viewed positively.

Please note that this is a freelance position, and not a salaried job. We do not pay a salary, and Associates are paid instead based on casting work done. Given the nature of our business, there is the possibility that we may not receive any casting orders for periods of time. This position is not suitable for those looking for a full-time job, or regular cash flow.
