In-House Graphic Design positions available
Hi everyone,

We are a new publishing company (print magazines) with an international circulation. We are seeking in-house graphic designers on a full-time or part-time basis.

The successful candidate(s) will be expected to demonstrate sound commercial awareness and the ability to work independently. In addition, being able to meet deadlines is also an important part of the job.

Having a cheerful, outgoing personality will also be a big advantage, as we are a small and young team (all under 30) and the working environment will be quite informal, with minimal hierarchy and red tape.

The job scope will be as follows:

- Layout editing for print publication
- Web graphic design (HTML only, no flash)
- Static graphic design
- Creative direction (working in tandem with editor and sales team)

Hours will be approximately 40 hours a week on a full-time basis. The actual working hours will be flexible as we will accommodate your schedule. As long as the deadlines are met and the work gets done, we are not too fussy with actual working hours. This is a great opportunity for freelancers with other projects to manage on the side.

We are also open to part time arrangements, subject to a minimum of 20-25 hours a week.


Positions on offer:

Senior Designer


- Must have formal qualifications in graphic design or related field, up to Diploma or Degree level
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in graphic design, or at least 4-5 major projects completed on a freelance basis
- Must demonstrate initiative, leadership qualities, and an ability to work independently. Some supervisory responsibilities may be involved.
- Salary will be $2,040 to $2,660 per month depending on qualifications and experience.
- Part-time arrangements possible.


Design Intern

- Available to designers wishing to gain more varied experience -- in print graphic design, layout editing, web graphic design and creative direction.
- Must have some experience as a freelance designer OR must be currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Diploma or Degree course in design.
- Internship positions will be 18-20 hours a week maximum, for an initial duration of 2 months (but extendable).
- Interships will run concurrently with the academic calendar. Flexible work hours are available, so you can plan your schedule around your academic time table.
- Allowance of $600 to $1,100 per month will be paid, depending on year of study, work experience, and number of hours worked.
